Leaders in Design: Celebrating Houston’s Design Community

I am honored to share that I was named one of this year’s Leaders in Design by The Houston Design District, alongside Kelie Mayfield of MaRS Culture and Rame and Russell Hruska of Intexure + Aura, all of whom I admire so much.

Celebrating with Diane Cowen who always knows how to bring Houston's design community together

The timing feels especially sweet, as Sherrell Design Studio turns ten this year. Over the past decade, I have had the pleasure of creating homes that honor the families who live in them, and I have been lucky to do it alongside artisans, showrooms, and fellow designers I now count as dear friends. Celebrating this honor with so many of them in the room meant the world to me.

We gathered at Euroluce Designs for an afternoon with old friends and a few new ones, all celebrating the talent that makes Houston such a special place to be.

Thank you to the Houston Design District for this honor, to Euroluce Designs for hosting us, and to Diane Cowen and Denzil Hollingsworth for all you do to champion design in our city. And to everyone who came to celebrate, thank you for making it so special!

Here’s to the next ten years, and to the homes and stories still to come. If you have a project in mind, we would love to hear from you.
