An ottoman offers a softer, more relaxed alternative to the traditional coffee table while still bringing structure and function to a room. In family rooms and dens especially, they create an opportunity for added comfort, layered texture, and flexibility in how the space is used.
For smaller homes or apartment living, storage ottomans can also have practical needs without sacrificing style. And when sourcing an oversized coffee table becomes difficult, an upholstered ottoman often allows for larger proportions or custom sizing that better fits the scale of the room.
We’ve rounded up a few favorite designs this week that balance comfort, function, and versatility beautifully.
